Cabin Rules

We keep them short.
The river does most of the talking.

Age & booking

  • The person booking must be 25 years or older.
  • All children (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult (over 25) at all times.

 

Pets

  • One well-behaved dog up to 25 lb (11 kg) is welcome.
  • A one-time $25 pet fee is added at booking.
  • Dogs must not be left unattended in the cabin.

 

Registration

  • The person booking registers for the entire group and provides the full names of everyone staying.

 

Heating & cooling

  • Heat pump for heating and cooling.
  • Baseboard electric backup.
  • Electric fireplace for ambiance only — real fires are outside only.

 

Outside fires

  • Only in the provided steel fire pit (when no fire ban is in effect).
  • Firewood is supplied — please do not bring your own.

 

Quiet hours & noise

  • 10 pm – 8 am.
  • No outside voices, music, or generators during quiet hours.

 

Smoking

  • Never inside any cabin.
  • Outside only (fire-pit area preferred).
  • $200 cleaning fee if smoke odour is detected indoors.

 

Damage & loss

  • You are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear.
  • We’ll send photos and a fair invoice — we’ve never had to yet.

 

Rubbish & recycling

  • Bins are labelled.
  • Please sort.
  • Foxes (and the forest) thank you.

 

Water

  • Hot water is unlimited.
  • Drinking water comes from our well — cold, sweet and safe.

 

Wi-Fi & cell service

  • Wi-Fi is available.
  • Cell coverage is spotty.
  • Enable Wi-Fi calling on your phone for best results.

 

Cancellation

  • More than 7 days before arrival
    • You can cancel at any time and receive a full refund of your deposit — no questions asked.
  • 7 days or less before arrival
    • The deposit is non-refundable, as we hold the cabin especially for you.

 

That’s everything.

Everything else is just common courtesy and fresh air.
